GSA computer room applying for funds - The GSA is asking the department and the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) for matching funds to buy computers. While we have certain models in mind, we are always looking for feedback and ideas to improve the lab. If you have any ideas now about furniture, software, hardware, etc. then let us know at
Comprehensive Exams coming up - The Physics and Optics comprehensive exams will be taken Thursday and Friday August 21st & 22nd, 2003. There are quite a few people taking the exam. If you want to and haven't signed up yet, email Mary Dewitt, the graduate program advisor. Please wish the best of luck to all students taking the exam.
